About

Kalee Quiñones is a screenwriter based in Los Angeles who specializes in thrillers and dark comedies. Their writing is often centered around complex female and queer characters.

Kalee has written two pilot specs and is currently directing and producing Blood Moon, an experimental queer sci-fi short they wrote. They’ve sharpened their writing toolkit with classes like Robert McKee's Story Seminar, Script Anatomy's Televisionary, and UCB’s Sketch 101. Their approach to character development stems from their acting background - they studied at Lee Strasberg and The Groundlings.

Kalee started in post-production, assistant editing award-winning projects like Saturn, What We've Become, and the Red Bird web series, Post Project Coordinating Xbox Showcase 2023, and editing multiple shorts. They now write scripts and work on set as a script supervisor. Most recently, they script supervised Organized Parts, which received the NALIP 2025 Director Incubator production grant. Their other script supervising credits include the feature film The Demonatrix and Ella featured on Short of the Week. When they’re not developing character-driven narratives, you may find them picking up 35mm prints for Vidiots or watching French films with their cats.

Kalee is actively seeking representation and opportunities to join writers’ rooms for thriller and dark comedy series.
